Digitorus is a software development and consultancy company specialized in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Digital Signatures, and Trustworthy Systems (TWS) that require a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The founder Paul van Brouwershaven is a Visionary Leader, Technologist with a proven history of delivering comprehensive knowledge, expertise, and hands in development, management, and operations of Certificate Authorities (CA) and Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSP) which are regulated by ETSI, eIDAS, WebTrust, and the CA/Browser Forum.

Paul has extensive day to day experience with Encryption, Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Digital Signatures, X.509 Certificates, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and compliance. As a trusted public figure, he started to increase public awareness of the requirements for online security more than twenty years ago and is frequently invited to speak at events and seminars.

In addition to being the Chief Executive Officer at Digitorus, Paul also works as Director Technology Compliance at Entrust, he is the Chair of the PKI Consortium and the Vice chair of the CA/Browser forum.

He started Digitorus in 2016 during his time as Technology Solutions Director at GlobalSign. Since then, he worked with and for many companies and trusted third parties involved with PKI and digital signatures.

Prior starting Digitorus, Paul held the position of CTO at Networking4all, where he helped gain international name recognition and a solid customer base through visionary leadership, technical competence, software development and a passion for developing and marketing security solutions for online applications and commerce.

Over the year Digitorus architected and developed various solutions (mostly in Go/Golang) used by leading Certificate Authorities. Including a Ceremony Tool, a Registration Authority (RA), Certificate Authority (CA), Validation Authority (VA), and a Time Stamp Authority (TSA).
